Overview
Devise a plan that does the following:
- What will schools do ahead of time in case of early dismissal?
- How will the school dismiss to ensure organized and safe dismissal of students and staff?
- What can we do to be sure important instructional time is not missed?
- How can students make up that time without canceling scheduled vacation days?
1. You will need to do research to see what other districts are doing. See the resource page for links to get you started.
2. Create a plan or plans that answer the above questions.
3. When you have created your plan for early dismissal and school cancellation learning make an infographic of the emergency dismissal plan to give to families. See the resource page for a tutorial on how to make your infographic. (See rubric on evaluation page for more details) (Be sure to watch the tutorial it will give you helpful hints and include an example)

- Steps for families to follow in case of an early dismissal & important information (at least 4)
- Contact numbers for the school
- Blank space for families to write personalized plan information
- Explain why your plan would work and how it would help in case of bad weather.
- Be sure to think about any possible problems that could arise during your plan.
- Try to predict possible solutions so that you are ready for anything.
